Books, Moments, Growing-ons…

we brought home a truck load of vintage delights last Friday.
They are making themselves right at home.
The girls found a big box in the living room–left from a co-op order from Frontier. (If you’re not already in one, you should get one started in your area–great prices!)
It’s even more entertaining when it’s full of biodegradable packing ‘popcorn’.
We’ve got some seedlings under a grow light. There are also a few coming up in our greenhouse–and with weather like we enjoyed yesterday, there are so many signs that Spring will soon be here…

And this morning we baked some coffee cake from a book you’ve probably heard of, but for some reason it’s still mysterious to me…& Rudyard Kipling’s The Cat That Walked By Himself is the first story in Tasha Tudor’s book–it’s so enlightening as to the relationship between animals and humans.

Also, I re-added the book widget from Indie Bound in the sidebar. It’s for my own keeping track, but I hope you’ll browse it & even offer suggestions!

Love that Tasha Tudor storybook. She's just wonderful. Finn is obsessed with The Cat That Walked By Himself. We listen to a recording of it at least 3x/week. Those stories are just wonderful for little ones with all the repetition. 🙂

i was surprised how much I enjoyed it…and Naomi tried to walk away a few times because there weren't enough pictures–but she just couldn't!

I remember reading that cat story when I was small. 🙂 Lovely photos! I love the picture of your seedlings! It gives me hope that spring is coming (even though it was freeeeezing here today!)

I love Tasha Tudor. And thrift shopping. Can you move next store, LOL?

I'd love you to come link your thrifting treasures on my blog on my Second Hand Saturdays. My readers would love seeing your finds. Here's the link to last week's —

I meant next door. (Smack's forehead.) That's what I get for typing with my four month old on my lap.
