We had a great day yesterday. Although I’m still recovering from a cough & sinus issues, Drew picked up on homeschooling & went above and beyond.
It all started with the letter ‘O’. First Naomi was challenged to find o shaped items throughout the house that she could trace in her sketchbook. Cups, bowls, rings, lids, paints, salt shaker… then husband took over & using an idea from our ‘curriculum’ they brought in a few piles of snow on a cookie sheet.
Over the sink hills were formed, trees emerged & everything was brightened with color.
Meanwhile some (surprisingly easy) edible circles were in the works.
roll them out
boil them & bake them
cool them & enjoy them.
Everyone enjoyed both–even as they disappeared.

you guys made bagels?! I was just watching a show on TV the other day where they made bagels, and I said to myself, "You know, in my entire life I will probably never make bagels." Haha but if you can make your own honey, you can make your own bagels 😉 Looks like Naomi had a great day!
To quote my grandmother– "well, I never" I thought only Bruggers made those things. Yum. And the snow is way cool!
elizabeth–i don't make noodles 😉 you can do it…you should both try–it was faster than most bread-making.

I love that you made bagels the proper way and they really look like bagels! I am so impressed, and jealous.
