Life as a Schoolhouse

So. I finally came up with the perfect name for this blog. It suits us so well. We’re of that persuasion, that the classroom isn’t just in a government funded cinder block building, but it is all around us. There are SO many interesting things in the world and at our fingertips & we’re all born natural learners. Sometimes we’re trained to hate learning, but that’s unnatural…

Anyway, inspired by books like the Foxfire series and other blog co-ops, the notion of ‘life as a schoolhouse’ developed a bit in my mind. So, I’m inviting you to participate in this new notion as well. Everyone has special interests, certain areas of expertise that may or may not have been learned in an actual schoolhouse. As a person who loves learning new things, I’m hoping that you’ll share with us your passions in form of a ‘lesson’ at Life as a Schoolhouse.

I just posted my first lesson, which as mentioned in the guidelines, did just what I thought it might. It reiterated my knowledge and helped me explore new aspects of it so that I might ‘teach’ anyone who reads it. With that example & the guidelines I hope that you’ll be inspired to participate! Everyone is welcome, parents, students, grandparents, single folks, etc so share! Also, since this is a new project for me, I’d love feedback! Please let me know your thoughts…
