Meatballs

Drew is ambitious when it comes to cooking. He picks the recipes I overlook, generally because I hate making sure to have all ingredients ahead–I stick to the standards.
Anyway, he found a recipe for Syrian meatballs last night in a cookbook his mom gave me, it’s beautiful. They’re traditionally called Kibbyeh & are essentially meat stuffed meatballs…yum. He’s inspired to try all things red-meat as my Midwife suggested that I need more protein & he doesn’t mind taking advantage.

They were tasty, but when he cooks EVERYONE is involved. Naomi, of course can’t be asked to leave, and stuffing meat with meat is a time-consuming & tedious task so I was recruited as well. It entertained all 3 of us & I was encouraged to think that sometimes conquering an extravagant recipe as a family can be very empowering!
