mondays’ wha-what!!

So, in a moment of weakness I bought knit miniatures of our chickens, Henrietta (white) & 3 red hens (Sarah, Lacey, & Ivy–eldest first of course) as named by Drew**

You’ll notice mamma4earth’s chicks in my Etsy favorites list on the side, but you should know that she custom made 3 New Hampshire Reds & 1 Leghorn to match our very own “flock” & we ordered just over a week ago. LOVE them…I don’t remember whose sight I saw her on, but they’re adorable & actually feel very durable. which also led me to another great blog (that You Know How We’re An Art Family already knows about…man-great taste lady!)

& what looks like an egg gathering basket is now a chicken roost!

here’s a pic of 2 hens on Sunday when they really were free-ranging for a few hours. You can see how big they’re getting. Henrietta is smaller, but much faster & escapier…

Other things of Monday:

strawberries picked from our patch yesterday were a great lunchtime dessert

up close of lily our little dancer received for her recital.

**if you don’t already know, these are me & my 2 sisters names…

Isn't Linda, aka mamma4earth aka naturalsuburbia, the sweetest! She sold me some yarn a while back that I blogged about. She's super-nice to deal with and has a lovely blog to boot! Be sure to tell her you blogged about her. It'll make her day. 🙂

Your chickies are too cute. So if the 3 red hens are named after you and your sisters, who is Henrietta named after? Love the shot of Naomi & the berries. Beautiful!

I am so glad they have arrived! They look so sweet in their little basket! Thank you so much for your kind words about my knitting! You are most kind! Thanks for putting my chickens in your favourite Etsy list!

I really appreciate you buying from me!

    Have a wonderful day,

    Warmly

    Linda

I can’t decide what is cuter – the knit chicks or the REAL chicks. Both so adorable! Your chickens look nice and healthy. I certainly don’t remember our chickens looking so nice growing up!
