sweet give away!
here’s just a little something sweet for the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah).
It’s traditional to ring in the Biblical New Year with honey, it represents the hope for sweetness in the coming annual.
So here’s a 6oz. bear of delicious, urban, wildflower, raw, un-filtered, amber, pure–Grim Honey.

1 more for sharing somwhere (comment again to let me know!)
We’ll pick randomly & announce the winner Sunday.

Naomi & I just finished some Honey Cakes (here’s a similar recipe) for this weekend. Bake with honey…& this pairs perfectly with stewed apples. It’s all a great way to welcome the Fall Season.
Other Rosh Hashanah Activities:
1. Coloring pages
2. Cleaning
4. having fun with friends! (honey bee festival & meals, of course)
5. trip to Farmer’s market for Apples on Sunday! (instead of picking this year).

& one of my lovely friends shared a link to this blog & I really like this outlook…

That honey cake looks amazing! We usually have a harvest of honey every year, but our bees had a very rough start, and my dad got behind with other projects. I'm glad you had a good harvest this year!

That honey cake brings back memories of growing up and celebrating sukkot and rosh hashana…we always had charoset and honey cakes…fuel for cleaning! It looks fabulous-Mazel tov!
