One last rainbow week post. This is a fun experiment that’s simple and fun.
You’ll need:
- Small tub/container for water (we used a clear tupperware)
- A small submergeable mirror
- A flashlight White paper Something to prop the mirror at a 45degree angle (rock)
- Dark (night time/closet)
Fill the tub with water and prop the mirror against the rock. Turn off all the lights! Holding the paper above the mirror, shine the flashlight into the mirror and move the paper around until you find the rainbow on your paper. The water is refracting the white light as it passes through, separating the colors and making a rainbow!
Here’s a treasury to celebrate the rainbow connection. please take a second to admire all the colorful talent! Just in time for Saint Patty’s day.
